Joel Gratz is a meteorologist and outdoor sports junkie who started two weather-related business catering to the outdoor community: OpenSnow.com and OpenSummit.com. OpenSnow was launched in 2011 and guides skiers and riders to the most powder each day of the season. OpenSummit was launched in late 2016 and provides weather forecasters for hikers. When Joel isn’t running these businesses, he loves looking at clouds, radar images, and skiing deep, untracked powder.
